You probably tried reinstalling your MacBook laptop and encounter this error message “An Error Occurred While Preparing the Installation. Try running this application again.”, because of this you’re not able to reinstall your OS either macOS Sierra, OS X El Capitan, OS X Yosemite or the older version.
This problem occurs because your Mac laptop reset it’s time due to some instances (Your Mac didn’t turn on for several days or battery exhaustion) – so when you tried connecting to apple, the server refuse your request on downloading the OS because your time is out of date.
To fixed this error you have to set the time up to date.
How to Fixed An Error Occurred While Preparing the Installation:
- Open Utilities > Terminal
- Then enter the date command to the terminal the format should be date [month][day][hour][minute][year]:
- date 0101104317
- on the above example its January, 1 2017 – 11:04 – you should change this to the current time.
That’s it everything should work now, try Installing your new OS again and it should proceed without problem.
