Amazon to Open in Southeast Asia, Oppurtunity for Philippine Consumer

TechCrunch reported, the US retail giant Amazon is already starting to hire people and acquiring assets including refrigerated trucks for their planned launch next year 2017.  Another source said that the current plan is to launch a selected Amazon services in Singapore in the first quarter of 2017. Also, earlier this year Amazon made an offer to acquire Singapore Redmart an online singapore-based grocery delivery services, but was rejected because of the low offer.

Putting an Amazon Singapore hub means shipping fee for your order on Amazon will now be lesser and the latest minimum of 10,000 pesos worth of goods for ZERO custom tax, more Filipino will surely enjoy this new opportunity.

TechCrunch contacted Amazon, but they declined to respond the request for comments.
